Samsung note 3

1 MONTH WITH THE SAMSUNG NOTE 3

It has been over one month since I received my Note 3 in the mail from Verizon. Here are my thoughts on the Samsung Phablet!

When I picked up the Note 3 out of the box, I started laughing. Even with my larger than average hands, the Note felt awkwardly large. 
The box packaging reminded me a lot of Apple. Everything was placed perfectly. The Note 3 is supposed to include Samsung headphones, but mine did not. Maybe the first batch did not include them? I'm not sure. 
The back of the phone, which is fake leather, looks expensive but feels very cheap. I don't mind because the back pulls of easily and can be replaced with a third-party back cover.

I couldn't help but compare my Note 3 to my iPhone 4S. The weight doesn't seem much different between the two. When I picked up my iPhone to grab data off it, I felt like I went back in time 5 years. Not only did the phone feel way too small, but the OS felt like it lagged. I can't believe I ever considered the iPhone to be big enough. I recently used my wife's iPhone 5, and just like the 4S, it felt way too small and outdated.

If you're not a fan of having to pull out your phone every time it vibrates, you can purchase the Galaxy Gear watch. The smart-watch allows you to make calls, receive calls, view text messages and much more. Although the watch offers a lot of features, it lacks in the most important area. Because the smart-watch is so new, developers have not had a lot of time to develop apps for it. I'm sure this will change overtime. 
But because the lack of apps, I will not be purchasing a smart watch anytime soon.
